America 250: Celebrate 250 Years of Independence in Grainger County

Grainger County Chamber of Commerce and GC Parks and Rec.  invites you to join us at The Nance House and the Grainger County Courthouse in Rutledge, Tennessee for our 3rd Annual Independence Celebration on Friday, July 3rd, from 5:30 PM to 10 PM.

In 2026, America celebrates a milestone unlike any other — 250 years of independence. Grainger County is proud to join communities across the nation in honoring this historic anniversary with a special America 250 Independence Celebration on Friday, July 3rd, from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM in downtown Rutledge.
This year’s event also marks a meaningful local milestone: Grainger County turns 230 years old. Together, these anniversaries create a powerful moment to reflect on our shared history, honor the generations who came before us, and celebrate the community we continue to build today.

🎉 A Celebration Rooted in History & Community

To honor both America’s 250th and Grainger County’s 230th anniversaries, we will also feature:

These elements create a meaningful connection between our national story and our own local heritage.
