Tennessee Century Farms Program

Grainger County is home to multiple Tennessee Century Farms — properties that have remained in the same family for 100 years or more. Farms such as Big Maple Dairy (established 1868) reflect the county’s enduring agricultural legacy. These working landscapes tell the story of farming traditions passed down through generations and remain central to the county’s identity as a rural Appalachian community.
