Shields' Station - Blaine

Shields’ Station was an early frontier settlement established in the late 1700s and played a role in regional defense and westward expansion. Associated with early settlers in what became Grainger County, it represents the rugged beginnings of Tennessee frontier life. Though little remains physically, the historical marker commemorates its significance in early Appalachian settlement history.
